Motorcycle Chase Leads to Incarceration

On April 26, 2016 around 1:50 am a Deputy was patrolling Hershey Nebraska on Highway 30. The Deputy noticed an eastbound motorcycle speeding through Hershey. The driver of the motorcycle initially stopped for the Deputy but before contact was made, the driver sped off.

A pursuit began traveling east on Highway 30 at speeds in excess of ninety miles per hour. The pursuit went through North Platte, NE. and south toward Lake Maloney. The rider of the motorcycle drove onto the lawn of Lake Maloney School and then fled on foot. Deputies quickly ran him down and arrested him. During the search of the subject a container of suspected Methamphetamine was found on the drivers person.

Deputies identified the driver as thirty five year old North Platte resident Nicholas Macmillan. Mr. Macmillan was placed in the Lincoln County Detention Center for: Possession of Controlled Substance Methamphetamine, Felony Flight to Avoid Arrest, Willful Reckless Driving, Driving Under Suspension and a Warrant for Driving Under Suspension.
