Body Recovered

On July 14, 2016 at 6:01 p.m., members of the Lincoln County Dive Team and Investigators from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office recovered the body of nineteen year old Samson Charles. He was positively identified and his death will be ruled accidental drowning. Drugs and alcohol were not a factor.

A very large thank you goes out to Western Engineering and their crew of workers, the Lincoln County Dive Team and Nebraska Game and Parks. They worked tirelessly, and without their efforts the recovery would not have been possible. And the generous support of the American Red Cross and Salvation Army, who kept everyone fed and hydrated.
