North Platte Man Arrested for Domestic Violence

On September 14, 2016 around 3:00 p.m., Deputies met with a female at the Sheriff’s Office. The female advised she was the victim of assault by her boyfriend. The female advised her boyfriend and her were sleeping in their car at the Outlet Campground at Lake Maloney. An argument started around 04:00 a.m. and the boyfriend began to assault the female. The female advised she got out of the car and the male threw a rock at her striking the windshield of the car and cracking it. The female attempted to run from the male and he tackled her. The male then began to choke her and she could not breathe, eventually the male stopped. The male then threatened the female with a baseball bat he had in the vehicle.

Around 6:15 p.m., Deputies located the male subject in North Platte. The male was identified as twenty nine year old Randolph Dye of North Platte, NE. Mr. Dye was arrested for Felony Strangulation, Felony Terroristic Threats and Third Degree Assault Domestic Violence. Mr. Dye was incarcerated in the Lincoln County Detention Center.
