Fatality Accident

On December 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies and various emergency personal were summoned to the area of the Maxwell Overpass on U.S. Highway 30, approximately mile marker 190. It was reported a westbound vehicle had left the road near the top of the overpass and slid down the south side. Near the bottom of the overpass the vehicle rolled and struck a tree. The lone male occupant was trapped in the vehicle at the time of the call.

Deputies arrived and found the male was deceased from injuries sustained in the accident. Seatbelts were not in use and drugs and alcohol are not suspected. The release of the name is pending notification of family. Investigation Continues.

UPDATE:

The male driver of the above vehicle has been identified as twenty-nine year old North Platte resident Constantino Megariz-Carter.
