Warrant leads to additional charges

On April 12, 2016 the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a warrant for eighteen year old North Platte resident Katie Schumacher. At the time, Ms. Schumacher was at the Lincoln County Detention Center visiting with an inmate, using the Detention Centers Video Visitation System.

Deputies met with Ms. Schumacher and advised her she was under arrest for the warrant. A search of her belongings revealed several items of contraband. Ms. Schumacher’s belongings contained suspected; Methamphetamine, Marijuana and several pills identified as Alprazolam.

Ms. Schumacher was interviewed and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Marijuana Less than One Ounce. Additional charges may be added pending laboratory tests.
