Burglary Suspect Arrested
On March 11, 2017 Deputies took multiple Burglary reports on North Eshelman Road (just north of North Platte, NE.). A victim advised he was also missing a propane tank from his camper. Later, the victim noticed a similar looking propane tank hooked to a camper on his neighbor’s lot.
On March 14, 2017 Deputies observed the tank and contacted the owner of the lot where it was located, the owner advised nobody should be on the property. Deputies removed the tank and it was positively identified as the victims.
Just down the road from the camper Deputies contacted thirty-one year old Ryan Horan of North Platte, NE. Mr. Horan was riding a bicycle with a backpack on. Mr. Horan advised he was staying in the camper. Deputies searched Mr. Horan’s back pack and found numerous items commonly used in burglaries.
Mr. Horan was arrested for Trespassing, Possession of Burglary Tools and Theft. North Platte Police Department also suspected Mr. Horan of Burglary within the city limits of North Platte, NE. Mr. Horan was ultimately charged with Burglary by North Platte Police Investigators. The investigation continues and additional charges may follow.
