Deputy Sheriff Wanted!!!

The Lincoln County Sheriff is taking applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff. This position has salary range of $24.80 – $32.46 per hour depending on experience. A generous benefit package to include a paid vacation, paid sick leave, compensation time, longevity pay, uniforms, health insurance, take home vehicle, and state retirement.

For Certified Law Enforcement the starting pay will be substantially more than starting base pay. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office will provide a $15,000 hire on bonus for certified officers. Half will be paid after the completion of our Field Training Program the other half to be paid at the end of one year probation period. Additionally, certified officers will receive 40 hours of vacation and 40 hours of sick leave upon hire.

The deadline for receiving applications is September 4, 2023. The Lincoln County Merit Commission will conduct written and oral testing starting at 8:00 a.m. on September 6, 2023, at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
