Deputies Solve Sutherland Thefts

On August 23, 2023, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received several reports of theft from vehicles in Sutherland, NE. Deputies responded to each call throughout the day and investigated the incidents. During the investigation a suspect was developed, and Deputies began searching for him. A Deputy from Keith County reported numerous thefts from vehicles in Paxton, NE. and had the same suspect as Lincoln County.

On August 24, 2023, at 12:26 a.m., Deputies were advised the suspect was at a residence south of Sutherland, NE. Deputies responded and arrested eighteen-year-old Ty Dowling of Sutherland, NE. A search of Mr. Dowling’s property revealed several stolen items. Mr. Dowling was transported to the Lincoln County Detention Center for Theft by Unlawful Taking. The investigation into these matter in both Counties are ongoing and additional charges are likely.
