Fatality Accident

On January 3, 2016 at 2:16 a.m. the North Platte 911 Center asked Deputies to respond to East Rolling Hills Road (Northeast of North Platte, NE.) in regards to a one vehicle rollover accident. It was reported a male subject was pinned underneath the vehicle. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies and North Platte Fire and Rescue soon arrived.

Deputies discovered the male driver, twenty-four year old North Platte resident Kristian Woodhouse was deceased at the scene. Also on scene were three female passengers who all suffered minor injuries.

Evidence at the scene indicated the vehicle was southbound on Rolling Hills Road attempting to negotiate a curve. The vehicle left the roadway and went up an embankment rolling over on its top. The rollover partially ejected Mr. Woodhouse who did not appear to be wearing his seatbelt. Alcohol appears to be a factor in this case and it remains under investigation.
