Accident Leads to Three Arrests

On June 10, 2019 around 3:00 am, Deputies were responded to a rollover accident at mile marker 175 on Interstate 80 (two miles west of North Platte, NE). Deputies met with two individuals from Iowa; twenty-one year old Daniel Njenga and twenty-year old Nyarol Billio. Both individuals were checked out by North Platte Rescue and were cleared with minor injuries.

It was reported a third individual ran from the scene with a large blue duffel bag. Deputies later caught him south of the accident scene without the duffel bag and he was identified as twenty-six year old Lawrence Sino. Mr. Sino was cleared with minor injuries at Great Plains Health. Deputies eventually located the duffel bag Mr. Sino was carrying when he fled the scene; it contained various items of suspected Marijuana and Marijuana products.

While investigating the accident Deputies smelled raw Marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle and surrounding area revealed many Marijuana bags, Marijuana Edibles, THC Wax, THC Patches and $500.00 worth of suspected counterfeit $50.00 bills.

All three individuals were arrested and incarcerated in the Lincoln County Detention Center for: Possession of Marijuana over 1 Pound, Money and Controlled Substance Violations and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana. The investigation into this accident is ongoing.
