Female Arrested for DUI and Vehicle Theft

On August 10, 2021 at 6:45 a.m., Deputies received a report of a vehicle parked partially in the lane of traffic on U.S. Highway 83, just north of Wellfleet, NE. Deputies responded and found a white 2014 Jeep Compass blocking part of the southbound lane.

Deputies found the lone female driver was a sleep in the driver’s seat. Deputies spoke with the driver who was identified as a thirty-two year old transient Cynthia Dorian. Ms. Dorian appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and after field sobriety testing was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

It was later determined the vehicle Ms. Dorian was driving was stolen out of Mission South Dakota. Ms. Dorian was charged with DUI 1st Offense and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. Ms. Dorian was placed in the Lincoln County Detention Center.
