Fatality Accident

On December 4, 2022, at 1:20 pm, Lincoln County 911 Center received a call of a two-vehicle head on accident at mile marker 169 on U.S. Highway 30 (Between North Platte and Hershey). Deputies and first responders found a westbound sedan crossed into the eastbound lane of traffic, striking a one-ton pickup.

The Driver of the sedan was identified as seventy-nine-year-old Bruce Miller of Hershey, NE. Mr. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup was identified as twenty-six-year-old Travis Doss of Idaho. Mr. Doss suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Great Plains Health in North Platte, NE.

Accident Reconstructionist from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office were called out to work the incident. Preliminary findings show that Mr. Miller likely was suffering from a medical condition at the time of the accident. Drugs and Alcohol were not a factor in the case and seat belts appeared to be in use.
