Construction Accident in Sutherland
On March 9, 2016 at 2:21 p.m., Deputies were informed a subject had fallen at Midwest Renewable Energy (just east of Sutherland, NE.). At the time of the call witnesses were providing first aid to the injured subject, but he was unresponsive.
Sutherland Rescue responded and transported a male subject to Great Plains Health, the subject was pronounced dead. Deputies identified the subject as sixty-two year old Buffalo Lake, MN resident Charles Danielson.
Preliminary investigation revealed Mr. Danielson was working on some scaffolding or walk way about thirty-five feet in the air. Mr. Danielson was wearing a safety harness but temporarily unhooked for some reason and fell. The case remains under investigation but appears to be accidental in nature.
