Injury Accident

On May 27, 2019 around 5:00 pm, Deputies were asked to respond to Highway 30 and Front Road. It was reported there was a two vehicle accident and all parties were injured. Deputies arrived and found four people from both vehicles were injured. North Platte Rescue responded and all subjects were transported to Great Plains Health.

Several witnesses reported a white pickup was heading north on Front Road. The vehicle failed to yield the right away to an eastbound sedan. The eastbound sedan could not avoid a collision with the pickup and struck it in the driver’s side.

The driver of the pickup was identified as forty-one year old Mandy Engler of North Platte, NE. The driver of the eastbound vehicle was identified as seventy year old Dale Styles of North Platte, NE. Ms. Engler was suspected to be under the influence of alcoholic beverage. A blood test was administered on her and charges are pending. All parties were left in the care of Great Plains Health.
