North Platte Man Arrested for Kidnapping

On July 31, 2022 at 9:35 p.m. the Lincoln County 911 Center received a report of a disturbance that had taken place at the Western Convenance Store at Hershey, NE.

Deputies met with the victim in North Platte, NE. and learned she was assaulted by a male she knew as twenty-four-year-old Jackson Seitz of North Platte, NE. The female had numerous injuries to her face and arms. The female informed Deputies that Mr. Seitz came up to her while she was airing up a tire and at the convenance store and threatened her with a knife. The victim advised Mr. Seitz assaulted her several times and eventually took her and her car to North Platte. Once in North Platte, Mr. Seitz left the vehicle, and she eventually was able to contact the 911 Center. Deputies searched for Mr. Seitz for several days and applied for an arrest warrant for him.

On August 13, 2022, Deputies arrested Mr. Seitz at the Western Convenance Store and placed him in the Lincoln County Detention Center. Mr. Seitz is being charged with Kidnapping, First Degree Assault, False Imprisonment in the First Degree, Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony and Terroristic Threats. Additionally, Mr. Seitz is being held on an Otoe County Warrant for Felony Theft, Operating a Motor Vehicle to Avoid Arrest, Driving Under Suspension and other traffic violations. The investigation is ongoing.
