Stabbing Suspect Arrested
On May 28, 2016 at 10:45 p.m., Deputies were informed a male subject was stabbed several times in an altercation south of Hershey, NE. A female was driving the victim in to the hospital. Deputies met with the victim and observed he had been stabbed five times chest and torso; also the subject was stabbed in the arm.
The male victim advised he was attending a family party at 29522 South Hershey Dickens Road. The victim said he got into an argument with another male identified as twenty-four year old Miguel Zapata-Munoz of Wallace, NE. The victim claimed Mr. Zapata-Munoz struck him in the head with a beer bottle and then stabbed him several times.
Deputies and Nebraska State Patrol Troopers located Mr. Zapata-Munoz in Wallace, NE. Mr. Zapata-Munoz was arrested and transported to the Lincoln County Detention Center. Mr. Zapata-Munoz was charged with: First Degree Assault and Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony. The investigation in the matter continues and the victim injuries appear to be non-life threatening.
